Morning Cleaner

The Trustees at Wonford Community Centre are looking for a flexible, self-motivated, and conscientious person to join our team. This person will be a keyholder in addition to the duties described. The successful person will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Salary: £12.21 per hour.

Hours: 10 hours per week, two hours each morning (times to be agreed at interview), to include working on either a Saturday or Sunday, with one day off in the week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To liaise with the Centre Manager.
  • To prepare the main hall, the rooms, and the Phoenix Suite for hire; includes setting up tables and chairs in accordance with the requirements of the various events.
  • Undertake cleaning duties as required, these include:
      • daily cleaning of toilet facilities and kitchen areas
      • emptying of bins, removing all waste to the exterior facilities
      • general cleaning of the public areas of the centre, to include glass and windows
      • sweeping and mopping floors
      • weekly polishing of the main hall floor using the floor polisher
  • Possible cover for other cleaning staff in the centre for holidays and sickness.
  • Ensure knowledge and application of Health and Safety regulations and undertake any training as required.
  • Carry out Health and Safety and security checks for the buildings.
  • Assist with fire alarm testing when required.
  • Reporting any breakages to the Centre Manager.
  • To complete any other tasks reasonably identified by the Centre Manager.

Evening Cleaner
